Welcome to the LGN!

Christmas has always been one of my favorite times of the year.  As a young boy I was blessed to be able to spend my first ten years in a downtown home in Worcester, Massachusetts that had twelve foot, that’s right, “12” foot ceilings.  Never could remember my mom and dad getting that tree inside.  It always seemed so magnificent.  But last Sunday I had an experience that will forever eclipse that of seeing those trees.

For the past fourteen years my wife and I and her family and some friends have attended the Candlelight Carol Festival at Riverside church in New York City.  The services, the music, and the meditations have always been wonderful, but this year’s message was particularly poignant.

Dr. James Forbes who has been known as one of the finest preachers in America was always a delight to listen to.  But this year Pastor Robert Coleman shared a brief meditation that left me saying to my wife on the way out that it was the message I would remember the rest of my life.

Loving Mondays?  Really?  Most people generally understand that Monday morning is the most dreaded day of the week.  The hardest time of the week, the time when there are more heart attacks than any other day of the week, and the time when we expect complaints to pour in from the events of the weekend.

October 25, 2010, has forever changed my perspective on Mondays. Members of our Life Giver group at Living Word Community Church in Dumont, NJ showed up expecting to “feed on God’s faithfulness.”  Not one soul left disappointed.  One after another members shared how God had showed up to address deep personal needs that had just been shared two weeks before.  All present were overwhelmed with such a wonderful outpouring of God’s mercy and grace.

Today was a very special day for me, it was my 65th birthday.  How the years fly by.  The day has been filled with greetings and best wishes from friends and family, but the best of all was a gift I received when I went to get the mail for our office this morning.

In the mail was a card which I thought was from my dear friend and group facilitator Diane Mueller.  Her oldest son had the same birthday and I always look forward to Diane’s card.  But this year it was very different.  When I opened the card it was filled with wishes and thanksgivings from the members of Diane’s group.   One note in particular caught my eye.

One of my favorite passages of scripture is Numbers 13 which recounts the spies being sent to the land "God was giving His children" and the response of Caleb and Joshua upon their return – Let us go at once.  We are on the brink of releasing our video and eBook containing information that can "transform the journey and change the outcome" for millions of people facing serious illness.

You can get further information about the release here, via our e-mails, and very soon through our link to the new Life Giver page on Face Book.  I would ask that you do not hesitate, but as you know the information is available, that you share it as quickly as possible with those you know could benefit.
