I have spent the past thirty-seven years of my life in research, counseling, pastoral care, teaching, and working in various settings, listening to hundreds of patients and those who love and care for them with the express purpose of being able to help transform their journey and change outcomes.

The Life Givers Network® is an outgrowth of that experience and has been established to bring hope, light, and life into the midst of the pain and fear created by the diagnosis of serious illness. Our desire is to help people live well and as fully as possible, no matter how severe their illness or how poor their prognosis. The journey, which no one ever plans to take, can be transformed. Grief can be reduced. Memories can be created that are pleasant and full of joy instead of sad and depressing.

I used to watch with family and friends as people would struggle, suffer, be angry, depressed, and spend countless hours in grief. Then, after much searching, I found there was a way “to make a difference”, empowering other ordinary people like myself to bring hope, nurture life, and transform these situations.
